Get Connected

Life Groups

Are you new to Northwest?  Are you searching for more information about God and His Word?  Or maybe you have been coming for quite a while but can't seem to get connected?  That's where Life Groups can help.

First, every Life Group is to be intentional about God. As the giver of life on earth and life eternally, it is important for people to develop the relationship God created us to have with Him.

Second, every Life Group is to be intentional about authentic community. Not only did God create us to have an intimate relationship with Him, he created us to live in authentic community with other people. Our goal is for people to do Life together, spiritual life together.

Finally, every Life Group is to be intentional about serving others. The way way for people to know we are serious about God is to have a servants heart. Jesus said to be first you must be last and be the servant of all. Serving with people in a Life Group enhances our authentic community. When serving together we grow closer to God and each other.
Have you thought about trying a life groups? Stop at a Connection Station on Sunday to see the Life Group options we have and when they meet.

To volunteer, contact John Lindesmith at johnlindesmith@yahoo.com or 330.983.7712.

We need volunteers for the following roles:
  • Evening Host (5:00-7:00 PM) This is simply just hanging out with the families and helping them to feel at home while they are here.
  • Overnight Host (10:00 PM - 7:00 AM) This involves staying overnight with our guests and being available should a need arise over night. Marking sure families are up and ready to go in the morning.
Media Team: Do you have a knack for social media or websites? Consider being a part of the media team.

Nursery/Toddler Ministry: In order for this ministry to function safely and securely, we need 2 adults in each area for both hours 10:00 & 11:00. We need to have substitutes as well which would not require a monthly commitment but to be contacted to fill in once in a while when someone cannot. If you can invest in the faith of the next generation of Christ followers, please contact Keith or the church office at 330.929.5776  for further information.

  • Toy Clean Up/Laundry Help - Do you have some spare time to clean toys, or wash some of the blankets and linens from the rooms? This could be a one time way to get involved or more frequently.
  • Diapers/Wipes: If you would like to donate baby wipes or various sizes of diapers for the nursery or toddler areas they will be used.
  • Goldfish Crackers & small Dixie cups are used weekly in the toddler room and donations are appreciated.
  • Donations are also being accepted of non-toxic toy cleaners and wipes for cleaning in the nursery and toddler areas. Brands like Dapple, Dreft, CleanSmart, Babyganics, Seventh Generation, and Earth Friendly Baby ECOS are some options available.

Preschool Volunteer: We currently need one adult helper for the 3rd Sunday of the month & for the 5th Sundays. As a helper, you are not required to do any advance preparation. You are simply asked to assist the teacher with snacks, games, crafts, or any other activities that are planned. The volunteer position is a commitment of 2 hours from 10:00-12:00 on your given day. Please prayerfully consider if this is an area where you may wish to serve. If you are interested or have questions, please contact Amy Gergely at 330.634.1886 or gergely.amy@gmail.com
